A Nurse’s Ministry is a faith-based ministry that brings together nurses to live out the healing mission of Jesus Christ through professional excellence, compassionate care, and Christian witness. It recognizes nursing not merely as a profession but as a vocation – a sacred calling to serve God by serving those who are sick, suffering, and in need.
The aim of the Nurse’s Ministry is to unite Catholic nurses in faith and fellowship, strengthen their spiritual lives, encourage ethical and compassionate healthcare, and inspire them to be witnesses of Christ in their families, workplaces, and communities.
To build a community of faith-filled nurses who reflect Christ’s compassion, uphold the dignity of every human person, promote holistic healing, and become instruments of God’s love and mercy in the healthcare profession.
Fr. Joseph Mathew Adopillil started the Nurse’s Ministry on July 12, 2026. Every third Wednesday members gather together along with Holy Qurbana at 9.am. The Tampa Senior ministry works in collaboration with regional Nurse’s ministry.
Goals
- To deepen the spiritual life of nurses through prayer, the Holy Eucharist, retreats, and faith formation.
- To support nurses in living Christian values and professional ethics in healthcare.
- To encourage compassionate, respectful, and holistic care for every patient.
- To provide mutual support, fellowship, and encouragement among nurses.
- To participate in parish outreach, health education, medical camps, and charitable healthcare services.
- To promote the sanctity of human life and uphold the dignity of every person from conception to natural death.
- To witness to Christ’s healing presence through acts of kindness, service, integrity, and hope.
