St. Vincent De Paul society is one of the largest charitable organizations in the world. It started here at Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Church, Tampa in 2010. Fr. Bins Chathalil was our founding spiritual director.
Over the last 15 years we have served our community as well as people of Kerala in need of food, medicine, clothes, education, shelter, and help during natural disasters. Every year we also honor a person in our own community who dedicates his or her life to the community and church by giving them a certificate and $500 cash. We collect clothes and canned food and distribute to the poor. We collect money by selling vegetables, meat and fish. Along with charitable activities for the upliftment of the poor people, the St. Vicent De Paul Society is also working for spiritual growth within the parish.
